BioRochelle Addison is twenty-nine years old.
Ten years ago, when she was twenty-nine years old, a team of five diplomats was captured by adverse forces.
One agent, Emma Merriweather, died; her death was witnessed by one of the other agents, Lien Jung.
Lien and a third agent, Theirn Rosier, managed to escape, heavily injured.
The other two agents, Rochelle Addison and Adrien MacCormack, were never found, and presumed dead.
As Rochelle may perhaps tell you, rumours of their deaths have been, indeed, greatly exaggerated.
'Chelle's always had something of a mechanical bent; machines just speak to her, more often than not, although not in actual words. Occasionally this has been more trouble than it's worth. It's also the cause of the loss of one job, and the gain of another.
She is rather completely in love with Theirn Rosier, which is made rather messy by the sudden ten-year gap in life experience between the two of them.
